Rachel Kyriazis

Rachel graduated from Regent University in Virginia Beach with a degree in Professional Studies with an English emphasis. Her passion for serving others started at a young age when her mom would bring her and her brother to serve at a local food pantry. After this initial exposure to the reality that many people were less fortunate than her, her passion for serving the vulnerable continued to grow. This passion for serving others has taken many different forms throughout her life from developing a love for the homeless through serving at Light of Life Rescue Mission, serving behind the scenes at World Vision distribution center, helping raise up the next generation of servant leaders through serving at-risk inner city youth at Promise Camp. Throughout these experiences and others, Rachel has sought to share the love of Jesus with “the least of these.” She is looking forward to using her gift of writing to support other non-profits in their own pursuit to share with the love of Jesus with those in need.

Laura Gilbert

Laura is a young professional with a background in graphic design and filmmaking. She studied philosophy and theology at Saint Vincent college before leaving to pursue her passion for serving non profits. She found a home at Uncommon Grounds Cafe, a ministry of Church Army USA, as a graphic design, video marketing, and donor relations intern in 2017. She finds herself volunteering her skills and time to a variety of non profits, including Urban Impact Foundation, Earth Angel Apothecary, and Closely Held Inc. The mission of these non profits include serving underprivileged children, at-risk women, and families of medically vulnerable children. All of this falls in line with the message of Christ and the call of James for our faith to be put in action through works. Laura anticipates her time at Love and Leadership will be one of growth, professionally and spiritually.
